Montenegro Airlines Montenegro Airlines has flights into Podgorica every day from Belgrade and twice a week from Budapest, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Rome, Vienna, and Zurich. Airport taxes are included in the ticket and no visas are required, Website : http://www.montenegro-airlines.cg.yu/ ( in english, german and serbian) Yugoslav Airlines via Belgrade Yat airways flights every day to Belgrade except from Monday. There is then a connecting flight to Podgorica, arriving the same evening, or so Tivat, leaving the following morning. There is also a regular train service to from Belgrade to Montenegro. Belgrade Airport charges departure taxes to passengers aged 12 and over, even when they are just in transit. En route to Montenegro the charge is the domestic tariff of 70 dinars ( expect your change in local currency so use your smallest appropiate note). On the way back you must pay the international tariff of 600 dinars ( rougly 10 Euro). In addition, all passengers not in possession of a Yugoslav Visa must buy a tourist pass for 320 dinars. This is valid for 30 days and is singleentry to the Union of Serbia and Montenegro; it can therefore be used on the return journey, within the limit time. ( Note : Montenegro does not insist on a tourist pass for those crossing a different frontier.) Website: http://www.jat.com/ ( in English and Serbain) Croation Airlines via Dubrovnik Between April and October Croation Airlines has direct flight from the most "Big" Airports form Europe to Dubrovnik. Airport taxes are included in the ticket and no visa charges are levied. If flying to Dubrovnik's Cilipi Airport, the alternatives are to spend a night in town, 27 km in the "wrong" direction, and get a bus or taxi on to Montenegro the next day, or (preferably) to arrange for the flight to be met by hotel transport. Herceg Novi is almost the same distance (23 km) as Dubrovnik. The airport bus to Dubrovnik costs 5 euro. En route to town it stops in Pile, the old town, with more expensive hotels, before going on to the bus station. However, near the bus station there are two reasonably priced hotels. Hotel Petka, 800m from the bus station, a moderen hotel with a seaport vieuw charging 41 euro per person, per night; or the older and smaller Hotel Gruz for the same price. The tourist information centre is located in front of these hotels and is open 08.00-20.00 daily summer, Monday - Saterday in winter.
