Get to Montenegro by Train
The only international railway link into Montenegro is through Belgrade. A standard single ticket between Podgorica and Belgrade is 10,50 Euro. The old link linking Podgorica with Skodra has recently reopened for freight olny; a passenger service should follow soon. There are four fast passengers trains per day between Belgrade and Bar via Podgorica, as well as a late evening car train from Subotica, just south of the Hungarian border on the road from Budapest.
Getting around by Train
The international rail network is only 249 km long in total nut prices are reasonable. There are five trains per day between Belgrade and Podgorica via Bijelo Polo, with onward links to Bar. A spur lineto Niksic is currently closed an no reopening date has been announced. Railway information is available on the following numbers :
