Gross domestic product Pictures of Montenegro GROSS DOMESTIC (MATERIAL) PRODUCT The calculation of gross domestic (material) product and national income has been carried out by material product system method, proceeding from establishing the value of production and services of productive units. Data on enterprises are derived from balance sheets and other book keeping documentation collected through the Complex Annual Report (KGI-01). Data on private agricultural holdings and private shops are collected through special statistical surveys (calculation of gross domestic (material) product of the private sector - DP and calculation of gross domestic (material) product of the private sector/non-agricultural activities - DZ).
According to final results, gross domestic (material) product of Montenegro in 2002 was 1009481102 EUR that is by 10.9% higher as compared to 2001, while National income of Montenegro in 2002. was 802091970 EUR that is by 11.6% higher as compared to 2001. Final results for 2002. are published in special publication "Gross domestic (material) product and National income of Montenegro in 2002". GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT The most common and the most important aggregate in the System of National Accounts is gross domestic product, which is a measure of production. The calculation of gross domestic product was done in accordance with the System of National Accounts ( SNA 93 ) and European System of National Accounts ( ESA 95 ). GDP measures the total value of products and services provided by resident institutional units over the given period. The calculation of GDP include all the activities within the frame of production defined by SNA 93 and ESA 95 and covers the whole territory of Montenegro. Calculation was made on the basis of all available data, while estimations were used for some sections.
Gross domestic product (GDP) of Montenegro in 2002 was in total 1301.5 mil. EUR and GDP per capita was 2113 EUR . Growth of GDP in 2002 on 2001 was 1.7%.
