Igalo is a small town in the Herceg Novi municipality of Montenegro. It is accessible via the E65/E80 north headed to Dubrovnik, Croatia. According to the 2003 Census, it has a population of 3,754. The town adjoins Herceg Novi and is administratively divided leaving no clear division between the towns.
Ulcinj is a coastal town and municipality in Montenegro. The town of Ulcinj has a population of 10,828, and it is the center of the Ulcinj municipality. This southernmost municipality of Montenegro has a population of 20,290.Ulcinj is the southern most major town along the Montenegrin coast before reaching the border with Albania.
Risan (Latin: Risinium, Greek: Rhizon, Venetian: Risano) is a town in the Boka Kotorska (Bay of Kotor). It is the oldest settlement in the Boka Kotorska. Lying in the innermost portion of the bay, the settlement was protected from the interior by inaccessible limestone cliffs of the Orjen mountain, the highest range of eastern Adriatic, and through several following narrow straits in the Bay of Kotor from the open sea.
Bar is a coastal town. It has a population of 17,727 (2011 census). Bar is the centre of municipality and a major seaport of Montenegro. In Montenegrin and Serbian, the town is known as Bar ; in Italian as Antivari or Antibari; in Albanian as Tivari; in Greek as Antivari, or Antivárion; and in Latin as Antibarium. The name of this city is connected to Bari, Italy as those cities are located on the opposite side of Adriatic sea.
During the Middle ages Lepetane was called “The Place of Saint Lovrienec” for the church which existed there and which is connected to a legend of three brothers – saints: Andria, Peter and Lovrienec. “Lepetane” got its current name by the nicknames of some Perast families (“Lepetanus”) which owned land in this area.
Petrovac was first mentioned in the chronicles of father dukljanin. Once called Lastva, it was founded as a settlement in the late 18th and early 19th centuries of interest are two small churches, built in the 14th and 15th century, after wich the settlement takes its name, Kastel Lastva. Petrovac is located on the coast between Budva and Bar, where the old mountain road from Podgorica reaches the coast. It has a 600 meter long sandy beach and it is a popular tourist destination. Petrovac is seen as a somewhat “calmer” resort, in contrast to the lively and developed nearby towns of Budva and Sutomore.
Tivat is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Boka Kotorska. It has a population of 9,467. Tivat is the center of Tivat municipality (population 13,630), which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro. It is located in the central part of the Boka Kotorska, south of mount Vrmac.
Budva is a coastal town in Montenegro. It has around 10,000 inhabitants, and is a the center of the Budva municipality. The coastal area around Budva, called Budvanska rivijera, is the center of Montenegro ‘s tourism, and is well known for its sandy beaches, diverse nightlife, and beautiful examples of Mediterranean architecture. Budva is 2,500 years old, that makes it one of the oldest settlements on the coast of the Adriatic sea.
Herceg Novi is a coastal town in Montenegro located at the entrance to the Boka Kotorska and at the foot of Mount Orjen. It has around 17,000 inhabitants, and is the administrative center of the Herceg-Novi municipality. Although it is one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic, it had a very turbulent history, and every one of the numerous conquerors had left a mark on the city’s face, making it one of the most picturesque towns on the Montenegrin coast.

Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a most secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The town has a population of 13,510, and is administrative center of Kotor municipality. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor, surrounded by an impressive city wall built by House of Nemanjic, is very well preserved and protected by UNESCO. Between 1420 and 1797, Kotor and its surroundings were under the rule of the Republic of Venice and the Venetian influence remains among the architectural influences.
