Plužine is a town in northwesten Montenegro . It has a population of 1,494 ( 2003 census). Plužine is the centre of Plužine municipality (population 4,272) and unofficial centre of Piva region , named after Piva River.

After the building of Mratinje Dam in 1975 , the town was transferred uphill, while the previous location was flooded by newly created Piva Lake.
