Sutomore is a small coastal town in the municipality of Bar, Montenegro. And has a population of 1,827 inhabitants. Sutomore was called Spizza in Venetian, when it fell under the republic of Venice between 1420 and 1797 and belonged to the Albania Veneta. With the occasional short-lived Ottoman occupation that interrupted it. The Austrian census of 1910 reports that there were Venetian-speaking families in Sutomore in the twentieth century.
