Kapetanovo jezero or Captain’s Lake is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 1.678 meters above the sea level located in the west of Montenegro, between Nikšić and Kolašin on Mount Lukavica part of the Moracke planine mountain range.

The deepest point in the lake reaches 37 meter. It is one of the numerous crystal-clear glacial lakes that can be found in this area. The name’s lake is derived from Captain Mušović, head of the Nikšić district, during the Ottoman occupation, accompanied with it is own legend like fairy tale story attached to it.
