Ljuta is a small village situated on the coast road between the towns of Kotor and Perast. The village is in a sunny location, being located at the north eastern point of the Boka Kotorska. The Stari Mlini restaurant one of the bay’s well more known restaurants is located in Ljuta. The seafront is predominantly stony with many ‘puntas’ (stone built docks) which people swim from.
The Ljuta river is remarkably short, just a few hundred metres long, it emerges from the bottom of the mountains and flows into the bay. It varies from a gentle stream to a raging torrent, but keeps the Ljuta end of the bay very clean and reduces the salinity of the sea. There is an extensive deep water harbour front where yachts moor in the summer.
